What We Think
On arrival you will be whisked away along bougainvillea-lined pathways in one of the hotel buggies to your own private suite - of which there are only 26 - each beautifully decorated and furnished in African style. With a spacious bedroom and separate sunken lounge area, large picture windows open out on to a private terrace where you can choose to take your breakfast in the morning if you wish. The magnificent bathroom is fit for a film star with an impressive sunken Jacuzzi bath. All the luxurious finishing touches are there too, from robes and slippers to complimentary toiletries.
The focus here is on quality and relaxation, and the staff will ensure that your every need is taken care of. At any time of the day or evening you can enjoy a drink at the Pelican cocktail bar; you can even swim up to the bar from the hotel’s fabulous infinity pool, framed by palm and baobab trees. The beach offers sun beds and a waiter service and for some pampering the hotel’s beauty salon offers a variety of treatments.
The restaurant ‘Les Palétuviers’ overlooks the swimming pool, which is beautifully illuminated at night, and its menu offers a mouth-watering selection of dishes. Choose a bottle of wine from the hotel’s impressive wine cabinet to accompany your meal, and then relax and take in the picture perfect tranquillity.
