The Petite Côte
South of Dakar, the Petite Côte (Little Coast), which stretches for some 150km (94 miles), is one of Senegal’s best beach areas. The Petite Côte sees a succession of fine, sandy beaches and lagoons intersected with picturesque fishing villages. Further to the south brings you to the beaches of Mbour, Pointe Sarène and Mbodiène which house a panorama of immaculate beaches covered in oyster and clams shells.
Saly
Approximately 8km north of Mbour is the resort of Saly where you will find fishing centres, windsurfing, jet skiing, water-skiing, snorkelling and scuba diving available from the beach. The ocean is warm and clear and the air, cooled by gentle sea breezes rarely exceeds the upper 80's, perfect weather to play tennis or volleyball on the beach.
Casamance
Cap Skiring, has countless hotels along what are generally considered the country’s best beaches lined with coconut trees. Located along the Casamance river, Karabane can be found, a sandbank covered in vegetation, palm trees, coconuts, baobab trees, cheesemongers and mango trees.
