During the evenings you can relax in good company in the hotel bar, where many offer some kind of entertainment, or take a stroll out into the surrounding areas to get a taste of the local culture and cuisine.
Activities for Singles
There are plenty of activities available for singles to get involved with if you wish, from birdwatching to fishing, horse riding to quad biking.
In the Sine Saloum, many of the hotels have their own boats and offer specialised birding and fishing trips, as well as more leisurely trips along the river to deserted beaches.
In Saly and La Somone there are a number of watersports centres located at regular intervals along the bay and several centres offering world-class ocean fishing. Most of the hotels also offer sporting facilities such as table tennis and volleyball.
In Saly there is also an 18 hole, 72-par golf course, which is one of the best in Senegal and situated in the wonderful scenery of baobab and eucalyptus trees.
