In Senegal's offshore waters you can target a variety of fish from May to November: Sailfish, Dorado and Yellow Fin Tuna are abundant between May and June and from September to November huge Blue Marlin stalk the Senegalese coast; fish of 800lb plus are certainly not unusual with fish well over the 1000lb mark being caught every year. Inshore trolling, Jigging and Bait fishing really comes into their own from November to June. Senegal has a much more established and better organised sport fishing set up than neighbouring Gambia, because of its easy access to deep water, boats tend to be larger, of a higher quality and are normally twin engined for security.
You can book a day's fishing through our representatives in Senegal, but if you are looking for a complete fishing package there are many things to consider: tides, location and seasons will play a huge part, therefore we recommend you contact the specialists World Sport Fishing.
