Drive up to the port of Dakar and board a ferry to Île de Gorée. Enjoy stunning panoramic views as you arrive on this volcanic island. Explore the flowered streets of the historical island, taking a baobab-lined path up to the headland from where you can enjoy an amazing view over the bay of Dakar. Visit the slaves’ house, listening to the emotional commentary of the curator. Lunch by the coast. Back to Dakar to visit the most interesting sites in the town: Kermel and Sandaga market, Independence Square and its surrounding administrative buildings, the Presidential palace, the cathedral, the coast road, the mosque of Ouakam and the lighthouse of Mamelles. Late return in Saly.
